FUNDAMENTALS OF ROMAN CAPITALS & CASUAL/FUNKY VARIATIONS

This is an online Zoom workshop.
Have fun learning the basics of Roman capitals using colored pencils on black paper. We will explore a variety of techniques including press and release for stroke variation, blending colors and simple composition. We will also have the opportunity to combine our writing with a simple contour drawing. Learn about spacing and how to create a variety of casual capital styles based on classical Roman proportions. Sharon provides a fun, pressure-free learning atmosphere with lots of handouts and encouragement!
All levels of experience are welcome. This workshop will be recorded and available to paid participants for 12 weeks.
Supply List: colored pencils, black paper, black eraser, ruler or t-square. *pan pastel optional
